Bus Services to Edinburgh Campus
Catching a bus is one of the easiest ways to get to and from campus from Edinburgh.
We have a bus stop on site so you can hop on and off easily and as frequently as you want. Here are your options:
You can catch the local bus services 25, 34, 45, 63, and N25/N34 (night bus) to the Edinburgh Campus. Service 25 is the most frequent, leaving the city centre every 10 minutes throughout the day, and every 15 minutes after 8.00pm.
Depending on the time of day you're travelling, the journey can take 30-40 minutes from the city centre, so take a good book or get your favourite tunes downloaded on to your phone.
Fares from the city won't break your bank either, get a single for £1.70, or else a day ticket is just £4.00, allowing you to hop on and off all day.
TOP TIP: Make sure you have exact change for the bus, or download the app and pay for tickets using that instead.
Services
25 – Riccarton (Heriot-Watt University) – Restalrig
34 – Riccarton (Heriot-Watt University) – Ocean Terminal
45 (only operates Mon – Fri, no Sat or Sun service to HWU) – Riccarton (Heriot-Watt University) – Queen Margaret University
63 – Riccarton (Heriot-Watt University) to Queensferry
If you're a regular traveller to campus, it might be worth considering getting a Ridacard to save money on your travels.
