Events across Edinburgh this November

With the nights getting darker and the weather getting colder, November is the ideal time to see Edinburgh all lit up and looking beautiful! Christmas events start to creep in and the gorgeous Giant Lanterns return to Edinburgh Zoo.

Let's take a look at what's in store...

Bonfire Night
With so much choice available across the city, we've put together all bonfire events in one place. 

Date: Tuesday 5th November
Location: Carlton Hill, Arthur's Seat

Festival of the Dead: The Abandoned Asylum
If you're not ready to give up on Halloween yet then this is the perfect opportunity to dress up and enjoy a unique celebration of carnival, circus and clubbing inspired by the art of the Day of The Dead.

Date: Saturday 9th November
Location: ATIK Edinburgh

Giant Lanterns
A must-see! You'll have plenty of time to catch this stunning exhibit of lanterns and this year you'll be taken on a pre-historic journey through the ages.

Date: 15th November - 26th January
Location: Edinburgh Zoo

Christmas Markets 
It might seem early but since they're so pretty, we don't mind! Soak up the wintery atmosphere and take in the smells and sounds of Edinburgh lining Princes Street.

Date: Saturday 16th November
Location: East Princes St Gardens

Foodies Festival: Christmas!

Date: 22nd - 24th November
Location: Edinburgh International Conference Centre

Christmas at the Botanics
Even more lights! If the Giant Lanterns and Christmas Markets aren't enough sparkle for you, then head to the Royal Botanic Gardens for some pretty lighting in the trees.
