The Importance of Social Distancing
The UK government has issued strict restrictions on how we must behave to stop the spread of coronavirus.
You may only leave your accommodation for very limited reasons:
- To shop for essential items (food, medicine)
- For exercise once a day
- For essential work that cannot be done from home
This means all social activities with your friends and family must be put on hold until the restrictions are lifted. No parties. No visitors to your accommodation, either from fellow residents or guests. If your friends want to hang out - be the one to remind them that this is serious and that the rules must be followed.
If you encounter other people on your daily exercise, you must stay at least 2 meters apart.
If you do not adhere to these rules, you are putting the lives of others at risk.
We understand this is a very difficult time and we all miss our friends and family. However, it is so important we adhere to these rules until the restrictions are over.
If you are feeling isolated, your ResLife team have a full calendar of online activities throughout the week, follow @HWUReslife on Facebook where all events will be listed or email email@example.com for further advice and support.
