Heriot-Watt Campus has a fantastic range of cafes and restaurants, so you are never far away from a hot meal or freshly made sandwich! Also – importantly – you won’t waste your data as they all also offer free Wi-fi.
Please note: Currently due to Covid restrictions, only Central, The Piece and EBS Bistro are currently open for food. The bar is open at Geordies, but is not currently serving food.
We will update you as soon as the other outlets open again! All opening hours are term-time only.
Central’s variety of hot food is so delicious and there is such a variety! So whether you fancy an Indian Curry, a Chinese Takeaway, Fish and Chips or a Burger there will surely be something to tickle your tastebuds.

Elements (Currently Closed)
Located on the ground floor of the Hugh Nisbet Building, right next to the shop, Elements offers breakfast, an unbeatable range of made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, baguettes and baked potatoes with a huuuuuge selection of fillings!
Opening hours: Monday–Friday 10.00-16:30
Café Brio (Currently Closed)
Located just above Central, this is a continental style café serving an exclusive range of single-source coffees and teas, hot chocolate, sandwiches, cakes, morning pastries, soup and snack bars. A limited range of exclusive Highland beers is available during licensed hours.
Cafe Brio is a great place to meet friends and chill out before or after lectures. It is popular throughout the day with large screen TV's providing access to Sky Sports for all the big matches and events.
Opening hours: Monday–Friday, 08.00–19.00*, Saturday and Sunday 09.00 – 16.00 (serving continental breakfast 08.30 – 10.30)
Da Vinci Café (Postgraduate Centre) (Currently Closed)
Da Vinci's continental style cafe bar is situated on the ground floor of the Postgraduate Centre. Open to everyone, this modern outlet serves a range of coffees, cakes, soup, made-to-order sandwiches and baguettes and filled jacket potatoes throughout the day. Sit in or take away. Complimentary newspapers are available so you can catch up as you sip your coffee.

Offering a full range of Starbucks coffees, frappuccinos and hot chocolate as well as breakfast and lunch wraps, snacks, crisps and a selection of soft drinks

Watt Coffee (Currently Closed)
Located in the James Watt Study Hub, Watt Coffee offers a range of Costa Coffees™, sandwiches, soup and bottled drinks

Bistro 1776 (Edinburgh Business School)
Located inside Edinburgh Business School is an attractive café offering hot drinks and lunch, open to everyone!
Opening hours: 08.30 – 15.30
Oriam Cafe and Bistro
After some exercise, or just for a change of scene, why not visit the Oriam Cafe and Bistro to enjoy a wide selection of healthy food and drinks to help revitalise and rejuvenate you whether you have been exercising your mind or your body.

Student Union – Liberty's
Liberties is the Union’s Café. Come and grab a delicious cup of Costa coffee and a breakfast roll (rolls served until 12 noon) or have some lunch. They have homemade soups, panini, toasties, and salads available with meal deals available. You can also order from the bar menu as well with a full range of burgers, nachos, pasta and more. We also provide a range of ciders, bottled beer and wine.
If you fancy something sweet we have cake, scones, or pastries available also.

Student Union – Geordies
Geordies is the Union’s bar where we have a variety of homemade fresh meals. Geordies is the perfect place to grab a bite in.
Offering mouth-watering burgers as well as nachos, pasta, burritos, salads and wraps. For quick bites, they also offer a range of snacks including chilli cheese fries, onion rings and garlic bread.
Inside you'll also find table football and three pool tables if you feel like taking on your mates. With a giant projector screen and four plasma screens, Geordies is the perfect place to watch big sporting fixtures live. Driving? Don't drink? No worries, Geordies have a great selection of soft drinks and fruit juices as well.
They also have outdoor seating so you can soak up some sunshine while you eat or drink.

Student Union – Pizza Shop (Currently closed)
The SU also have a Pizza Shop takeaway offering a great range of cooked to order pizzas, wraps and other tantalising food. The Pizza Shop is open every week day term time from 19.00 till late (closed non-term time)
