Weekly Fire Alarm Test
Your University accommodation is fitted with modern fire detection systems to provide the highest level of life safety. And to make sure all of them are working properly, the University conducts weekly testing of the systems.
Weekly testing of the fire alarm systems takes place on the following days within the below property groups (subject to change):
Tuesday (10:30 - 11:30) – Leonard Horner Hall
Wednesday (10:30 - 11:30) – Robert Bryson, Lord Home and Christina Miller
Thursday (10:30 - 11:30) – Robin Smith, George Burnett and Lord Thomson
Thursday (10:30 - 11:30) – Anna MacLeod, Muriel Spark and Mary Ferguson
During a fire alarm test, the alarm will sound for 15-30 seconds, there is no need to fully evacuate the building for these tests.
